Written by Yvonne Hawker, one of the Make-Up Designory’s instructors, and based on the concepts of John Bailey, this textbook shows the fundamental techniques of make-up artistry as they are taught in the Make-Up Designory's schools. Though it is aimed at the beginning student, it can serve as an excellent reference for the more advanced student or practicing professional. Each chapter contains clear concise instruction, and detailed illustrations and color photographs. Some lessons included are how to match bases, understanding shading and undertone, proper placement of highlight and shadow and make-up techniques for film, television and print. A glossary is also included.
